I'm going to have to pick up a gen 3 game and play with glitches.

That is, when I'm not playing the remakes for 3DS...

The best glitches are still in Red and Blue...

Ok old glitches in general are better. but gen 3 was supposed to be mostly glitchless.

X and Y had game breaking glitches. For example, if you saved in certain parts of one of the cities, your game could freeze up. Luckily (and unluckily for those who find exploitable glitches), they can push out patches now.

Actually one of my favorite glitches is the nugget glitch. For anyone that may not know pokemon, there is a trainer in FireRed/LeafGreenthat gives you an expensive item (a nugget) and then battles you. If you lose to him, he gives you another nugget. It's one of my favorites because it was a simple oversight.

Is that at nugget bridge? Does that happen in the originals, too?

In the originals you can't battle him again if you lose

Maybe it's not a glitch, but it's intentional to show that team rocket wastes no resources in recruiting.

Money stops being a problem soon enough that I don't think the time is really worth it.

For the last 20 years, at least.

In Red, Blue, and Yellow you can. I think technically they're called coins in those games, but you play slot machines, and trade your winnings for Pokemon. I think the same sort of thing exists in some of the other games.
